At Woven, we have always dreamed of creating a collection that unites the beauty of different handmade weaves and traditional techniques from across the Philippines. More than just a showcase of artistry, we wanted to craft products that are both purposeful and functional—pieces that seamlessly integrate into a woman’s daily life.
The Ligaya Collection is the realization of that vision. This collection celebrates the exceptional talent of our country’s weaving communities, sourcing fabrics from north to south and working with master artisans in Basey, Marikina, and Antipolo. Through these six meticulously designed pieces, co-designed with a young Ivatan designer, we highlight the richness of our local weaving traditions while ensuring each product serves a meaningful purpose.
A Celebration of Filipino Craftsmanship
Each piece in the Ligaya Collection is a testament to the skill and dedication of our local artisans:
Handwoven Fabrics
Sourced from Ilokano weavers in La Paz, Abra, and Yakan weavers in Basilan and Zamboanga, these textiles carry years of tradition, passed down through generations.
Banig Weaving
Our laptop sleeves and gadget organizers are crafted by Woven’s partner community in Basey, Samar, a town renowned for its intricate banig weaving techniques.
Leather Crafting
The collection also features beautiful leather pieces, handcrafted by skilled artisans in Marikina and Rizal.

Honoring Heritage, Embracing Innovation
Every detail of the Ligaya Collection tells a story—of tradition, artistry, and cultural heritage. By blending these diverse weaving traditions with modern designs, we aim to make traditional Filipino craftsmanship an essential part of contemporary life.
We know this is just the beginning of our journey to elevate and promote our country’s rich weaving traditions. There is still so much to explore and share. As you browse through the collection, we invite you to immerse yourself in the stories behind each weave.
